This Tuesday we are learning a beautiful Slow Air called “Summertime.” I’ll admit that you guys really have me on my toes with some of your more challenging tune requests that I am working hard to learn (that’s right, even after 20 years of playing there’s no replacement for good, solid time on the practice chanter) so in the meantime, I wanted to share this sweet and simple favorite of mine.

Summertime

I’m not sure what the history of this tune is, but the title always makes me think of lazy summer days, just laying out in a big open field and watching the clouds. For the preview video this week I thought it would be fun to have some clouds you can watch while you listen and get a feel for how the tune goes.
