Today we’re learning a tune that I’d actually never heard of that is extremely popular. I kept getting requests for it and when I finally decided to check it out, I knew I had to learn it. The tune is called “Going Home” and is a really nice 6/8 slow air.
Bagpipes in the Snow
Instead of just filming a quick video playing the entire tune in my home, I thought it would be fun to film this video up the canyon. However, the day we filmed ended up being much colder than I expected and it was snowing like crazy. I basically thought I was going to freeze to death. Okay, maybe it wasn’t that bad, but it was definitely really cold.
Anyway, I just hope this video of me freezing in the snow somehow motivates you to learn this beautiful tune.
