Fight the Night

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and is ready for 2016. I always enjoy the New Year and the feeling of a fresh start. For me, it’s a time to reflect on the previous year and plan for the future.
Set Some Goals If you haven’t recently set any personal goals, I strongly encourage you to take control of your future and do it. There must be something you want to accomplish, do, become, etc., and now is the time to make a plan and go for it. So once again if you haven’t set any goals, lay out a plan and make it happen!
My New Year’s Resolution
This year I’ve set a goal to create some awesome bagpipe music. To be more specific, I am hoping to create 12 original songs that have a more modern sound.
I’ve wanted to do this for a while but for one reason or another, I never have. I know I’ve done tons of bagpipe performing, playing, and teaching. However, writing, recording, and sharing my own original work is definitely outside my comfort zone.
A big reason I’m telling you this is that one of the best ways to accomplish a goal is to tell other people about it. So if you have a goal regarding music or bagpipes please leave a comment below and let everyone know. I would love to hear about it, and you never know who you may help inspire.
Take the First Step
Surprisingly one of the hardest parts of any new goal is just getting started. So don’t get overwhelmed with everything, but instead focus on the first few steps and take action.
Starting something new is always hard and most people can’t handle going through that awkward stage of making mistakes. Don’t make the mistake of waiting for the perfect moment because it will never come.
Fight the Night
As I said earlier, I’ve set the goal to create some awesome bagpipe music this year, and hope you enjoy my first modern original song “Fight the Night”. For the last few months my wife and have been working together to create the music and video. We had tons of fun making it and are excited to share it with you.
I hope you enjoy this song and remember that no matter your situation you can always choose to live your dreams.
